Jim and his wife Betsy are the parents of 3 adult children and live in Mechanicsburg PA. Each of them were born into and grew up in the church. Before and after marrying, they were members of Reformed and Presbyterian churches in Boston MA; Ottawa, Canada; Sarasota FL; Grand Rapids MI; Bloomington IN; and Harrisburg PA. They were confirmed at Good Shepherd Anglican Church on April 16^th, 2023, and often teach Sunday School classes (adult and children) for the parish. Jim is director of the Honors Program and Professor of American History at Messiah University.
